Cost-effective choice Victurea® makes it possible to choose other, more attractively priced raw materials in the ration. An additional advantage is that the composition is very stable, making it a very reliable product.
Several reasons to add urea
The main reasons for ® victurea in the ration:
An alternative to expensive protein sources
The urea content correlates with a potential protein content of 253.5%. This means 100 grams of Victurea® can replace no less than 600 grams of soy flour with a protein content of 42%. This means less expensive protein sources can be included in the ration.
To improve protein production
Corn-rich diets are often deficient in rumen ammonia, which suppresses microbial protein production. This shortage of rumen ammonia can inhibit livestock production. Supplementing the ration with Victurea® provides the rumen microbes with extra ammonia for the formation of microbial protein.
To create space within the ration
The high nitrogen concentration in Victurea® and the high potential for microbial protein production creates space for other nutrients in the ration. For example, highly productive animals can be offered a concentrated diet with which they can achieve high production.
